David Shapiro
David Shapiro is the founding principal of Shapiro Law Group LLC. Since founding Shapiro Law Group in 2017, David has positioned his Firm as an industry leader and one of the most active boutique commercial real estate practices in the country. Before launching Shapiro Law Group, David spent over six years working in several prominent large law firms in New York City. David has a broad-based and versatile practice and represents institutions, investors, and developers in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on the acquisition, financing, and leasing of commercial properties in markets across the United States. David also has substantial experience representing lenders in both real estate and general finance transactions.
In addition to his primary practice, David has devoted substantial time to a wide range of pro-bono matters. He has appeared in Immigration Court, Family Court, and the New York City Housing Court and has been recognized by the New York State Unified Court System for his pro-bono work.
David graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School with honors in 2011, where he was selected to be a senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. While at Penn he also obtained a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School of Business.
David currently lives in Lakewood, New Jersey with his wife and nine children and is an active member of his community. On the rare occasion that he has spare time, he enjoys running and various forms of cycling
